A wild and windy ride! This was up in the Quetico Wilderness, I was lucky enough to be sitting in the middle acting like the Queen with the Camera, while two handsome men paddled through some pretty wicked wind.

There is a great book entitled, "The Art of the Canoe with Joe Seliga". Joe was a master canoe builder in Ely for years and years until his death a few years ago. My friend Deborah Sussex had the great opportunity to photograph Joe and document the entire process of canoe building. Joe lived in Ely, MN right next to the Boundary Water Canoe...
