Turtle | Monday Jun 30, 2008

So this weekend I was being a PeddleTramp instead of a PaddleTramp. I was biking along the Mississippi River with my bright yellow bike, my headphones, my smile and of course my camera. I was biking on this sandy path and I came across a lady that said, "Turtle on the path ahead." This is when my smile got just a little bit brighter and I soon found myself belly down in sand bonding with my new little prehistoric looking friend.

Oooh, great turtle shot. I took a photo a couple weeks ago of a turtle but yours is a much better composition and the colors are great. I like how you were able to get such a close up shot...very nice.

Thanks for your comment...I actually thought of your turtle photo when I came across this turtle. I thought your turtle was pretty cool...turtles are just one of those cool really weird animals. When photographing most little animals, I have been trying to get down on my belly right at their level. Which of course is dirty, and I was risking being run over by another biker, but I hoped for the best! I got some cool shots without getting any tire tread on my back and was happy. I will post one more shot of this turtle in a day or two.
