Please put me back in the grass | Monday Sep 08, 2008
So my daycare kids and I are constantly searching for "bugs" outside and today they found this cool grasshopper. We put it in our "bug catcher" and brought it inside. I thought it had an intriguing face, so I asked the kids if I could bring it home to photograph it. So here it is, looking right at me and asking politely if I would please put him back outside. So I did. And he is free. But captured permanently on my computer.

GREAT SHOT! Love little critters as they do have great expressions and characteristics to appreciate.
This reminded me immediately
of "My what big eyes you have" which I loved! I thought of your very precious frog photo as I found a small tree frog on the inside of my kitchen window. Before we parted I did placed him in a 16 oz water bottle without the water, just temporarily, allowing light to flow through with the backgound being colorful shaped puzzle pieces. Then I photographed him shooting down into the bottle. A look of photoshop filters without the filters. He wasn't as handsome as yours though. ; )
I do hope to see more of your critter-close-ups!
Thanks again Deb!
