Anthony,
The official definition of the Grand Canyon is that it is a steep-sided gorge carved by the Colorado River in the United States state of Arizona. It is a beautiful and wild place and I feel honored to have been able to travel down part of the river. I was in awe of it's beauty the entire time.

Nice handling of the contrast levels on this magnificent canyon shot. Did you perhaps use a red filter to enhance the colour of the sky?

Stefan,
Thank you for your comment, and no I did not use a filter. The sky was a bit too light for my liking (it was an extremely bright day), so what I did was lower the brightness of the entire image in photoshop (using levels), then erased back the rock and water to their original state, but left the sky darker.

So peaceful..beautiful..idyllic. Love the b&w processing. It really accentuates the shapes and forms and light. Excellent!
