Such a beautiful capture of a gently creature. My Mom used to live in an area aptly named "Deerfield". Deer were everywhere and it wasn't uncommon to see several scattered about grazing in the yard. I really miss that.

It is always such a wonderful surprise for me when I am walking in the woods and a deer actually stops to investigate me within camera range. It is so often that they bound away immediately. This guy was very patient with me and my camera before I saw his tail bouncing away in the distance.

This is closest deer photo I've ever seen. It's eyes are like magic. It either sees you or smells you as it's head/neck are in somewhat of an alert stance, as if trying to see what's there. And yet there's also a bit of curiosity in the eyes. This is stunning beyond belief. I have to get a better camera sometime. You are incredible---your love of nature is and vision of what exists around you is remarkable. I like it.
