Love the composition and a beautiful sharp image of the heron!
Excellent capture because those guys are skittish.

Thank you for your comments! And yes, they are so skittish...I really love photographing egrets and herons...probably because of the challenge...and I always feel soooooo excited when I get a good shot of one when I am sitting in my canoe. It usually feels like a miracle. First because of the tippy canoe, second because I don't really use very long lenses. I just can't afford them. So patience and quietness are my main tools!
